Description
The Summer Truffle ( Tuber aestivum Vitt.) is also defined as “Scorzone” for its round and particularly thick coating. As the name suggests, the Summer truffle reaches full maturation during the summer and it is the only one among all the edible truffle species.
In Tuscany, the harvest period is between the 1st of June and the 15th of November. Its scent and taste can give great satisfaction to even the most demanding gourmands.
